La société basée en Allemagne de l’Est à commencé a décliné dans les années 1970 et a arrêté ses activités en 1991Įn 2014, la société Globell Deutschland à repris la marque Meyer Optik Görlitz et a décidé avec quelques ingénieurs venant de Zeiss Jena de recréer certains objectifs historiques de la marque comme les Trioplan et Primoplan.
